Parquet floor, private home
This private home was fitted with an oak parquet floor with wide planks. The planks run in one direction and continue from the hallway into the adjoining rooms.
Wesley fitted the skirting boards as well, so the joint between the floor and the wall closes off neatly everywhere. In the rooms with the beamed ceiling, daylight from the windows falls across the floor, bringing out the grain and the knots in the oak.
